Cosmetic items being marketed for ingame currency by other players is a mixed bag for buy Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta me because I’ve seen the exact same practice on a game called Mabinogi. I’m unsure how it’s today but when I last played (back when firearms were released) the cost of cosmetic items skyrocketed and triggered an inflation which made even ordinary items found readily in the match leap in cost. When the game started using a million gold was a milestone, when I quit it was expected to get it by the time you leave the area.
I’ve played the JP version on and off, and probably will not play the NA version unless the translation team cuts off service for JP, which is unlikely. End game basically boils down to performing dailies to get meseta (gold), then waiting for Emergency Quests (EQ for short) to soda, then running it as many times as possible within the time period, then back to waiting patiently for another EQ to pop, usually every other hour. Progression is tied to EQs, which drops your end game equipment. End-end game equipment is generally untradeable, so it’s just waiting for the particular EQ that drops the equipment that you would like to pop up, then hoping the substances or the gear drops.
Sure there’s other stuff to do between EQs, however for the most part, getting BiS gear is by way of EQs. Which is the end game of PSO2 I suppose from the top gacha. It’s an anime game in the end. And boy has the power creep reach fast, often quicker than I am in a position to catch up, though I am not sitting in my computer camping EQs 24/7. Its fun while you’re leveling, and starting to gear up, but end game is a slow burn. Making it an ideal side game, since you only have to log in if the EQ you need is up.
Otherwise, enjoy the journey! The most efficient way, aside from selling items from the top gacha, are dailies, which you’d do on all your alts for maximum gain/day.
Concerning gearing, you will not need quite great gear to perform EQs, unless you’re really tryhard. You very rarely neglect EQs on JP servers, unless everyone is poor, since they’re typically lenient enough. Even though there are a few Japanese elitists who judge and blacklist individuals according to course combination and their equipment. But do feel free to go for fashion rather than optimisation, as it will not matter too much, unless you’re attempting to put records for cheap meseta pso2 TAs (time strikes AKA rate runs).
