Russian remittances to Uzbekistan nearly $3 billion

The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) reported the biggest recipient of remittances from Russia last year was Uzbekistan with US $2.85 billion, UzDaily.uz said March 7. Remittances from Uzbekistan to Russia were US $227m.
Remittances from Russia to Tajikistan, the second-largest recipient, totalled US $2.22 billion last year, AsiaPlus.tj reported March 7, quoting the CBR. Remittances in the other direction were US $83m.
